Pulsar Process Measurement

Terzo Digital have recently finished one of their largest pieces of work: assisting in the addition of WITS-DNP3 protocol to the Pulsar Ultimate Controller. Pulsar Process Measurement Limited based in Malvern are a leading provider of pump control, level and flow measurement equipment in many industries. We first came across Pulsar when working for previous organisations, providing monitoring solutions for Combined Sewage Overflows (CSOs). In that work, we utilised their excellent dB Ultrasonic Transducers. During our current engagement, we have had a chance to switch from client to provider and have helped them to add another protocol to one of their flagship devices.

Terzo Digital are not in the business of website creation or maintenance, there are many firms out there who specialise in standard website tools and can efficiently produce high quality websites with attractive media; indeed, we know a few such companies. However, sometimes a website has more complex aspects or a long and varied heritage or involves interfaces to back end systems and this is where we are able to bring value.

A few months ago we completed a piece of work for SEOSS (South East Open Source Solutions) which has been in service and operating without problems since then. The work was a small project, only a week or so, performed at fixed price and on very tight and definite timescales. The project was to deliver software which would support SEOSS on one of their larger projects. The software we developed provided integration facilities for larger systems by reading and processing data to make it available, then removing the data and cleaning up after the data had been used.

We recently completed a piece of consultancy work for Metasphere in which we represented them on the WITS PSAC. WITS is the Water Industry Telemetry Standards association and the PSAC is the Protocol Standards Association Committee who manage WITS. The primary output of WITS is the WITS-DNP3 Protocol, a single protocol used by multiple Master Stations and Field Devices. You can find out more on WITS at their website.
