A unique opportunity for an Operational Technology Solutions Architect

Anglian Water Services is a key client for Terzo Digital, having worked with them since 2015.

Founders of Terzo, Neil Tubman and Mark Davison, have worked on many varied projects in this time and have built up an excellent working relationship with the Operations Technology Managers in several departments of Anglian Water Services.

When extra resources were required for a special project, it was crucial that the person joining the team could be trusted to fit in and uphold the high standards of delivery and excellent reputation.

To fill this important role Neil approached Leigh Taylor, Operational Technology Solutions Architect. Leigh’s 32 years’ experience within the water industry and his specialist skills meant he could quickly make an impact.

The project was part of the Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) and Leigh’s remit was to analyse the feasibility of the requirements for the pipeline and translate the strategy into a digital architecture design. You can read more about Terzo and Leigh’s involvement in the SPA project client story.

Leigh said, “This is a ground-breaking project to work on and a unique opportunity for me, thanks to Terzo. I was able to use my keen interest and skills in Fourth Industrial Revolution technology to produce a unique design for this project.”

Leigh joining the Terzo team was a win-win for all parties.

Terzo was able to fill a role that Anglian Water was unable to by bringing in an expert with specialist knowledge and a person who they trusted completely.

Anglian Water gained the experience and foresight of a highly skilled consultant and software designer who was able to set to work immediately, saving them time and money.

And Leigh was able to work within an organisation that is forward thinking and use his Industry 4.0 knowledge, for which he’d personally invested much time and money.

Leigh said, “The ideas I was proposing and the design I was creating have never been done before, therefore I valued the weekly calls with Mark and Neil to bounce ideas around and gain a sanity check for the direction I was going.”

Matthew Walker, Strategic Programme Manager at Anglian Water said, “Leigh came on board quickly and was able to hit the ground running. The design he’s delivered is game-changing for the future capabilities of our water infrastructure.”
