With our roots already firmly established in the water industry, our decade-long journey, from launching as an Operational Technology (OT) consultancy service provider to becoming a pivotal player in the sector, has been shaped by continuous innovation, strategic partnerships, and a relentless commitment to excellence.
2014: The Genesis of Terzo
Our story began on a summer day in 2014, with the vision of providing expert OT consultancy services to industries in need of cutting-edge solutions. Terzo was founded with a clear mission: to bridge the gap between technology and operational excellence. From the outset, we aimed to provide services that were not only technically proficient but also strategically aligned with our clients’ long-term goals.
2015: Breaking Ground with Our First Framework Contract
The following year was a significant milestone for Terzo as we secured our first framework contract with a major UK water company . This was a testament to the trust that our clients placed in our expertise and our ability to deliver high-quality services. It also marked the beginning of our deep-rooted relationship with the water industry, which continues to be a core focus of our work.
2017: Pioneering WITS-DNP3 Implementation
In 2017, we achieved another landmark by integrating the WITS-DNP3 protocol into the Pulsar Ultimate controller. This was a crucial step forward in enhancing the telemetry capabilities for our clients. The WITS-DNP3 protocol is essential for the effective communication of data across distributed networks in the water industry, and our successful implementation solidified our reputation as industry innovators. Our commitment to advancing industry standards was further highlighted in 2019 when Mark Davison, one of our founders, took on the role of Technical Lead within the WITS Protocol Standards Association Committee.

2020: Collaborating with Scottish Water
In 2020, we expanded our influence by working with Scottish Water on strategic projects, through our engagement with Capgemini. Neil Tubman, also founding partner, played a key role in this collaboration, driving forward initiatives that were crucial to the client’s operational success. This project exemplified our ability to partner with leading organisations and deliver impactful solutions that meet their specific needs.
2023: Revolutionising Information Management with octoplant
Our dedication to innovation continued in 2023, when we played an instrumental role in deploying the octoplant configuration management solution for a major UK water company. This solution significantly enhanced the client’s information management capabilities, streamlining operations and ensuring greater efficiency across the board. 2024: The Dawn of Azent
As we step into 2024, we are excited to announce the release of our first product, Azent. This Lucid Protocol Field Device software stack represents the culmination of years of expertise and innovation.
